IVECO DAILY flexes its muscles with AMS Recovery Trucks
Thursday 3rd October 2024
The IVECO Daily is renowned for its rugged truck-based chassis that enables operators to downsize their vehicles without compromising on capability. This new Daily recovery truck freshly completed by AMS Recovery utilises that hardy DNA to become one of the most capable vehicles in the recovery arena.
Based on an IVECO Daily 7-tonne Crew Cab (70C21H), this bespoke vehicle was bodied by AMS Recovery Trucks for customer First Line Recovery. Its custom-made lightweight aluminium body hosts famed Miller Industries heavy-duty equipment such as a boom and pair of winches with this Daily engineered to lift 2,700kg. Its stabilising fork that can anchor this vehicle to the ground and additional counterweights means that even the most demanding off-road recovery is possible. Thanks to a towing capacity of 3,500kg with towbar, this IVECO Daily can transport stricken cars or 4x4s after returning them to the road.
Josh Lockey, Sales Director at AMS Recovery Trucks, said: “Our customers love the IVECO Daily because it’s easy to drive, more manoeuvrable than a larger traditional vehicle, but no less capable. There’s also an excellent Total Cost of Ownership proposition when downsizing. This incredible specification is proving so popular that we’re already working on another for a customer.”
In addition to its highly capable body, this IVECO is powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine that provides a masterful level of torque that’s ideal for towing. In combination with strong performance, this unit also delivers impressive real-world efficiency.
The comfort of drivers and passengers of this crew cab was a key consideration for AMS. Up to seven occupants are seated in highly supportive Hi-Comfort memory foam seats, with the smooth 8-speed automatic transmission adding to tranquillity with seamless shifts.
Mike Cutts, IVECO Business Line Director Full Range UK & ROI, said: “The IVECO Daily is one of the most versatile platforms for bodybuilders out there. This AMS Recovery vehicle is nothing short of impressive and an excellent example of how fleets can benefit from downsizing without losing any mission capability.”
