Thursday 8th February 2018
An international logistics provider for art transportation has bought the first 65-tonne IVECO Stralis in the UK from leading dealer Guest Truck and Van.
MTec, which offers bespoke solutions for art handling, installation and transportation, has taken delivery of the brand new heavy goods vehicle, which is the first of its kind to be sold and delivered in the country.
'We work with leading artists, commercial galleries, public museums and collectors from all around the world, delivering and installing contemporary artwork that can often present demanding engineering and tight time frames,' explained David Williams, Managing Director for MTec.
'We needed a suitable vehicle to be able to deliver heavy sculptures and similar artworks and the 65-tonne IVECO Stralis ticked all the boxes. The team at Guest Truck and Van were extremely knowledgeable and were able to meet our requirements with the vehicle we eventually bought.'
The 6x4 Double Drive Iveco Stralis Hi-Way boasts a 13 Litre Cursor HI-SCR engine which delivers 570hp and is well-matched with the new 12 Speed Hi-Tronix ZF Transmission.
'We're really pleased that we've been able to offer MTec the first 65-tonne IVECO Stralis in the UK,' said Bal Singh, Key Account Director for Guest Truck and Van. 'With such a large capacity and the nine-tonne front axle, this vehicle is the perfect addition to the company's fleet and will enable them to carry more goods at once which means greater productivity and convenience for customers.'
