Leading IVECO dealer delivers seven vehicles to global engineering company thyssenkrupp

Global engineering company thyssenkrupp has ordered seven new vehicles from the UK’s leading IVECO dealer Guest Truck and Van.

An order has been placed with Guest’s West Bromwich branch by thyssenkrupp for four 17-tonne Eurocargo dropside trucks and three 26-tonne Stralis curtainside trucks - one of which has a coil carrier able to carry a 16-tonne payload.

All of the vehicle bodies were built locally by Fred Smith & Sons Motor Bodies in West Bromwich and each truck comes with a three-year repair and maintenance agreement with Guest.

“Both the dropside and the curtainside trucks are ideal for speedy loading and unloading, and the curtainside is especially useful for partial deliveries as there is no need for ‘first on/last off’ loading,” explained James Taylor, Group Retail Truck Sales Manager for Guest Truck and Van.

“The coil carrier, meanwhile, is a specialist product that can carry up to a 16-tonne coil, with a body that can slide up and down, making manoeuvring easier.”

This is the second occasion in which thyssenkrupp has turned to Guest Truck and Van for its vehicle requirements, having purchased five trucks from the dealer last year.
